Frequently Asked Questions
What do you require before I bring my horse to Circle K Ranch?
We require that your horse is up to date on vaccinations, and that you have filled out a boarding agreement, a rider release form, and have provided payment for the first month’s board.
What is included in my board package?
Our partial boarding package includes a stall with attached paddock, AM feeding and turnout to pasture, and use of trails, covered arena, round pen, and storage for tack, supplies, feed and bedding. Boarders provide the feed and bedding for their horse and clean their horse’s stall and paddock and do the PM feeding.
If I am going to be away for awhile, can you provide additional care for my horse?
A lot of our boarders work out trades with each for care of their horses. If it is prearranged, we can be hired to provide extra care for your horse while you are on vacation.
Do you have farrier or veterinary services?
Each boarder is free to choose which vet and farrier service they would like to use to come out to the ranch. There are quite a few nearby that are available to perform their services at our facility. We can give you a list of our recommendations if needed.
Do you have trailer parking?
We do have trailer parking available. If you are boarding your horse at our facility, we are able to park your trailer free of charge.
What are your barn hours?
We don’t have set hours. If your horse is boarded here, you are welcome to come out and use our facility whenever. As our home is located on the property, we do ask that our privacy is respected during the night hours, except in the case of an emergency.
Can I ride your trails when I board my horse at Circle K Ranch?
Yes, we have trails in the back of our property. The trails go through the woods and provide our boarders access to the Nooksack River and the park near the Nugent’s Corner fishing access.
Where will I store my tack?
We have a locked tack room for saddles and bridles, as well as additional storage for grooming supplies and grain.
Is your arena lighted year round?
Yes, our indoor arena has lights.
Can I bring my family and friends with me when I come to ride?
“Circle K Ranch has been a great home for my horse and a pretty good second home for me the past two and a half years. The job you do keeping the barn and facilities clean and providing individual attention and care to the horses that need it is impressive. I and my horse really appreciate your knowledge and attentiveness. In addition, the facilities are always improving and the trails are easy to get to and fun! Best Regards Always – Sally”
“I really like Circle K! I know my horse is being taken care of to the highest standards; he is very happy there. It’s always clean and it’s a great environment to be in. Everyone there is really nice. The indoor arena is awesome to have and the trails are great too! – Taylor”
“My horse and I have been at Circle K for almost 5 years, and it’s my second home. Each horse is treated with kindness and lovingly cared for as a unique personality in the barn. The atmosphere is cheery and family friendly. Great pride is taken in the upkeep and improvement of the facilities. It’s not necessary to own a trailer; the trails just outside the barn are amazingly extensive and so much fun. The indoor arena is a good size and great for the rainy days. Brian and Tessa put their hearts into this family run operation and want you and your horse to be happy and at home. – Susan”
